When people ask me how long I’ve been designing, I tell them, “my whole life”. As a child, I would create furnishing for my dolls out of the scraps of fabric form my dad’s custom tailor shop in New Jersey.
As a Florida licensed designer, I’ve been blessed to design everything from custom luxury homes, model homes, churches, hotels, offices and Ronald McDonald Houses.
I joined the Closet Factory team in 2015 and love watching designs come to life and seeing the overjoyed, satisfied look in my clients’ eyes. I truly enjoy working for Closet Factory because we are able to do so much more than just closets, we build a truly quality product and offer so many options.
I am passionate about design and put my heart into finding just the right solution for each of my clients and their treasures. My goal is always to exceed client expectations, striving to remain within budget so that they can feel confident in recommending me to their friends and family.
“The service was great! Very friendly workers! Sylvia sketched out exactly how our closets would be; talk about talent! And Logan did a great job installing them, and with no help in 3 days! Needless to say I was very impressed!”

“Working with Sylvia and Jorge the installer was seamless. I needed Sylvia to take my current shelving and reconfigure it for my new house. She was super clever and managed to use every bit of existing shelving for the new house. Jorge (and George his assistant) were expert installers and were fast, friendly and thorough. I love my “dressing room”/closet, and would highly recommend Sylvia and team for your closet solutions!”

“SUPER IMPRESSED!!!!! I worked with Sylvia and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her & our experience with The Closet Factory – Tampa. Sylvia really listened and designed our dream Entertainment Built in and it was above any and all of our expectations. She was reachable, reasonable, stayed on budget, gave great options & was there through out the entire project. Our installer was top notch as well, and extremely detailed. The materials used were higher quality than I was expecting. I’ll be reaching back out to Sylvia & TCF -Tampa team for future projects.”

“How do you first approach a space? In other words, what’s the first thing you think about when you first see a client’s closet space/storage problem?”
“What is the biggest design obstacle you’ve overcome? i.e. awkwardly angled walls, electrical sockets in bizarre places, big collections in small spaces.”
The biggest design obstacle – LOTS of items in a small space…Going vertical is the best solution!
“Since collaboration is such an integral part of the design process, how do you like to engage or connect with clients in order to help them realize their vision for a space?”
I like to ask lots of questions about what they like, dislike, and would like to see in the space. Using photos & quick sketches while discussing their vision, wishes and budget helps keep them on track. Knowing what they envision for the space, finding an inspiration and guiding them through the process are important.
“How are you inspired by a home’s existing décor? Is there anything specific that you look for during an in-home consultation?”
“What are some ways a custom designed home office can improve productivity? In other words, how does the right type of home office help people do business?”
The functionality of a well-designed office can make all the difference in a person’s productivity level! Together with my clients, I help design spaces where there’s a place for everything and everything is in its place. & easily found.
“What are some modern organizational trends, or what’s a trend you’re looking for?”
Boutique style is a current trend, along with the Mid-century Modern. I love the use of lighting creatively. Lighting takes a design from, “Ooh…” to “WOW!”
