I have always been interested in design, and after spending several years in the corporate world, I decided to shift careers into something that would allow me to utilize my more creative side. I love the fact that I get to use both my problem-solving skills, as well as design experience to help make people’s lives more organized.
As a designer at Closet Factory, I pride myself in assisting my customers in figuring out their personal style, while merging their tastes with their storage needs.
When utilizing “cubbies,” put them into your “strike zone.” Having them too high or too low makes for an awkward body movement when placing stacks of clothing.
When storing shoes, placing one facing forward and one backward allows for extra space on a shelf. Ex. A shelf that may have held only 2 pairs of shoes stored front facing, will now be able to hold 3 pairs alternating.
Storing items that have a shape on shelving, and leaving flexible clothing for drawers, (ex. Workout clothing, bathing suits,) allows you to not only utilize more space, but also allows you to see more of what you have.
“Jeaneille was great! She really listened to what we needed and was able to translate that into her design. She was readily available throughout the entire process and was a pleasure to work with. We are planning on doing a home office with her in the future.”

“How do you first approach a space? In other words, what’s the first thing you think about when you first see a client’s closet space/storage problem?”
When approaching a space I try and visualize the client actually using the area. This helps me to think of placement and flow, and designs with both functionality and beauty in mind.
“What is the biggest design obstacle you’ve overcome? i.e. awkwardly angled walls, electrical sockets in bizarre places, big collections in small spaces.”
The biggest design obstacle I’ve faced was a walk in closet off of a master bedroom that was built in a renovated attic. I had to account for the eaves and dormers throughout the space. We ended up using an island for a bank of drawers which allocated more storage, while creating a “vanity space. We used the angled walls for hanging with access to extra storage behind it.”
“Since collaboration is such an integral part of the design process, how do you like to engage or connect with clients in order to help them realize their vision for a space?”
I always integrate my client’s ideas into my design. I make sure that they get the elements that they want, while still maintaining functionality and efficiency. By collaborating with my client on all aspects of design, I can ensure that clients feel connected with myself and the project, and are happy with the end product.”
“How are you inspired by a home’s existing décor? Is there anything specific that you look for during an in-home consultation?”
I always try to keep a home’s existing decor in mind when designing any areas of a home. It is important to make sure the style you’re choosing matches the feel and style of the home. During your in home consultation, I try and get a feel for your personal style, as well as your organizational and storage needs.
“What are some ways a custom designed home office can improve productivity? In other words, how does the right type of home office help people do business?”
When things are organized you get more done. Plain and simple. Clutter can not only clog a space, but it also clogs the mind. By designing a home office that is tailored to a client’s specific needs, we help them to become more efficient and accomplish more in less time, since they are no longer searching for items that we out of place.
“What are some modern organizational trends, or what’s a trend you’re looking for?”
A modern organizational trend that I have noticed becoming more popular is definitely adjustability. People want a space that can grow with their needs. By allowing our shelving and rods to adjust every 32 mm, it makes it easy to change spacing as your needs do.
Each of our custom systems is completely personalized and begins with a complimentary design appointment.
