Creating A Multi-Functional Home Photography Studio

See how Closet Factory transformed this home office into a multifunctional flex space with a wall bed, built-in storage, and a personalized gallery wall, perfect for working, hosting, and displaying what matters most.

The Project

Gallery by Day,
Guest Room by Night

As a lifestyle photographer who regularly invites clients into her home studio, Agueda needed a space that could be both inspiring and highly functional. Her front room featured beautiful natural light and clean sightlines ideal for consultations and editing sessions, but she also wanted a comfortable guest space for family visits.

The challenge? She couldn’t sacrifice the only available wall, which she used to display framed prints for her clients.

Closet Factory helped Agueda achieve a seamless solution: create a dual-purpose office and guest room anchored by a custom wall bed system that would serve as both a sleeping area and a professional-grade photo gallery.

How We Designed A Creative Studio with a
Hidden Guest Room

  • A Gallery Showcase Wall

The heart of the project is the custom wall bed designed not just for sleeping, but for showcasing Agueda’s photography. The bed face was fitted with slim gallery rails that allow for easy display and rotation of prints, turning the cabinetry into a full-scale photo gallery wall. Horizontal wood grain melamine and integrated brass pulls maintain a clean, contemporary look that works as well in an office as it does in a bedroom.

  • Custom Wall Bed Ensures the Space That Adapts Beautifully

When the bed folds down, the space transforms instantly into a welcoming guest room, complete with layered pillows, soft textures, and space to relax. When it’s folded up, the room becomes a crisp, clutter-free workspace filled with light and personality. Hardwood floors, bright textiles, and leafy greenery tie the space together, offering a natural, grounded energy that reflects Agueda’s creative spirit.

  • Minimalist Finishes to Let the Photos Speak for Themselves

Slim side towers on either side of the bed offer concealed storage, keeping camera gear, office essentials, and guest bedding tucked neatly away. The cabinetry’s vertical contrast trim and flush-mounted hardware add just enough visual edge, while the light-toned laminate complements the white walls and shutters, letting Agueda’s photos be the real statement.
