When you start a new project with Closet Factory, a child in need receives a high-quality bag for their most prized possessions or school supplies. Closet Factory clients understand that great design positively impacts their daily lives, and now, it can also make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.
Providing Bags for Kids
Many children in foster care leave their former home with only the clothes on their back, so a variety of non-profit agencies across the country step up to help fill needs for clothes, personal care items, toys, school supplies and more. We want to help give children a place to put those special items, and the dignity and respect that goes with that.
Bags for Kids is a signature initiative of Closet Factory Cares. For every project started with Closet Factory, we provide foster children with bags of their own. Closet Factory Cares partners with non-profit organizations across the U.S. to distribute donated bags to children in a respectful manner. Bags are donated within the communities where they were raised, allowing local support for children in need.
Together, we aim to positively impact more than 40,000 children’s lives each year across the U.S. through this initiative.

Heart for Helping
Closet Factory Cares works every day to generate hope and dignity for kids in need. We celebrate our mission with key initiatives:
National Foster Care Awareness Month: Every May, we highlight the needs of children in foster care by partnering with local organizations. We donate new, high-quality duffel bags that can also be used as backpacks, ensuring these children have a dignified way to carry their belongings.
Time for Kids: In the summer, we volunteer our time through this initiative, assisting organizations that support those in need.
Season of Gratitude: During the holiday season, we come together to donate new bags and other essential items to non-profit organizations serving children in our local communities.
Through these efforts, Closet Factory Cares strives to make a positive impact on the lives of children year-round.
