My working career began in accounting and finance, then I took a twenty-year detour to raise four children, volunteer in their schools, and manage a household. Pursuing a life-long love of interior design, I returned to school and got my associates degree in the field.
As a designer for Closet Factory, I have the opportunity to utilize my affinity for precision, my passion for organization honed in my own busy household, and my love of visual harmony. I get great satisfaction from hearing each new client’s story and coming up with solutions together to solve their organizational challenges and streamline their daily living. Nothing makes me happier than talking to a client after their installation and hearing them gush about their beauty and functionality of their new space.
I’ve been a designer for four years now and I can’t imagine a more perfect career!

“We absolutely love the entertainment center. It is a spectacular piece. June continued to work with us on the products and I have to say the final selection was absolutely perfect. The entertainment center wasprofessionallyy constructed with exceptional care. The installation people were very respectful and installed with precision. We appreciated their advice on a couple choices with the unit. June1s direction and vision for this unit were key in developing an entertainment center that is perfect for our needs and quality that we were seeking. Thank you very much, June. We would be happy to recommend you and Closet Factory for outstanding quality of product, service by you and all the staff, and value for the money we paid. We are very happy we chose Closet Factory!”

“How do you first approach a space? In other words, what’s the first thing you think about when you first see a client’s closet space/storage problem?”
“What is the biggest design obstacle you’ve overcome? i.e. awkwardly angled walls, electrical sockets in bizarre places, big collections in small spaces.”
The biggest design obstacle was a small closet in a 1910 house with multilevel floors, existing drawers to remove with ductwork behind them, a window, and large original base molding that were staying, and extremely narrow return walls on the left and right of the entry door that the client wanted storage built on.
“Since collaboration is such an integral part of the design process, how do you like to engage or connect with clients in order to help them realize their vision for a space?”
I like to ask them that initial question mentioned above, “What is it about your current space that you want to change?” to get them talking about the space. Then I review our brochure with them to take cues on the style they are attracted to and use the pictures to point out design options.
“How are you inspired by a home’s existing décor? Is there anything specific that you look for during an in-home consultation?”
“What are some ways a custom designed home office can improve productivity? In other words, how does the right type of home office help people do business?”
Having all your tools at your fingertips can drastically increase efficiency and productivity in any setting, but especially a home office. Building storage space for things they may currently sit on a desktop or out in plain view will provide a calmer, less cluttered atmosphere in which to think and work, in addition to being visually more pleasing.
“What are some modern organizational trends, or what’s a trend you’re looking for?”
Storage components that slide out, such as accessory racks in a closet, shelves or trays in a pantry or home office, or drying racks in a laundry room can ease the effort to reach something as well as hide it when not in use.
Each of our custom systems is completely personalized and begins with a complimentary design appointment.
