I have been working in the design field since the age of 19, first with models and actors, and now with custom cabinetry.
I love working with my clients side-by-side to create polished spaces that are functional, friendly, and beautiful. Whether is it modern, rustic, or eclectic I design pieces to suit your personality.
My philosophy is classic with a twist, timeless creations with a hint of edge. By using special techniques, I can add personality and style to any space. Because of my attention to detail, my clients can expect a crisp, timeless style and design that will remain fresh year after year.
“Jessica Bentley from the Closet Factory was expeditious, personable and professional. She arrived at our home (even during a heavy rain – I thought she would cancel the appointment) and was very courteous when she introduced herself. We expressed our concerns and needs for our master bedroom closet and she immediately took all measurements and sat down with my wife and me. She listened to what we would like to see, asked detailed questions and wrote down everything we discussed. Her presentation of the Closet Factory products was very informative. We had several representatives come out to speak with us prior to her to give us various quotes, but her knowledge of the product and genuine concern surpassed the competitors.“

“Jessica Bentley provided superb designing for my children’s closets. Next will be mine! Thank you for taking the time to make sure that we made space for everything they needed and being patient while we got everything in order. The installers did a fantastic job as well and worked with us on a limited schedule. Thank you again.”

“I went to Ikea to take a look and try to do a couple of closets I had by my self. Ended up calling the Closet Factory to finish my home up. Just to much time and effort to get all that I wanted done and in time. I spoke to a rep that had me meet with Jessica Bentley at the factory. Between Jessica and speaking to an Engineer, I was able to get a design that would work with the space I have. They even had a layout for all my collections so I can view them as well. I am even impressed that they came up to do a remeasure on a corner that is a bit off from design.”

“I contact them for some upgrades to my current house. They were prompt on follow up. Jessica Bentley called me back and we scheduled an appointment for a time I could work with. I am so happy that I didn’t have to wait for a 4-hour window to get this done like my cable company. When all was said and done I was in my price range to change items in my closet as well as have some additions put into my laundry room. Everything matched and Jessica was so helpful with any questions I had. Their showroom had my husband wanting a garage upgrade!”

“How do you first approach a space? In other words, what’s the first thing you think about when you first see a client’s closet space/storage problem?”
“What is the biggest design obstacle you’ve overcome? i.e. awkwardly angled walls, electrical sockets in bizarre places, big collections in small spaces.”
The biggest design obstacle had to be a funky-shaped closet. It had a bunch of angles windows that we needed to work around. But with creative thinking and a great engineer, we were able to create the perfect solution.
“Since collaboration is such an integral part of the design process, how do you like to engage or connect with clients in order to help them realize their vision for a space?”
I always collaborate with my clients for sometime before I draw a design. Sometimes it’s necessary to look through other designs to spark their creativity button. And when that happens, it’s like magic. The facet of ideas flow and then it’s time to make their ideas a reality… with my twist of creativity of course.
“How are you inspired by a home’s existing décor? Is there anything specific that you look for during an in-home consultation?”
“What are some ways a custom designed home office can improve productivity? In other words, how does the right type of home office help people do business?”
When I create a home office, functionality is the key to success. I imagine that I am working at their desk when I sit down to design it. I always ask myself, “Where should my files go? Is the access to drawer space easy from where I am sitting? What needs to be exposed and what can be put away to create a clean space to work? Do I have enough storage space to hide the stuff I have?” These questions help me create a workspace that my clients will love to work at.
“What are some modern organizational trends, or what’s a trend you’re looking for?”
My favorite organizational trend is pull-out caddies. They take up minimal space, while providing great organized storage for belts, ties, and accessories. I also love the use of slate wall for exposed organization.
