The Project: The New American Home 2011
- As part of the NAHB’s showcase home, Closet Factory was selected to design, manufacture and install 3 walk-in closets and the master bedroom dressing room. Unique to this year’s closet project was the addition of customizing the master bedroom closets to the storage and organization needs of an actual homeowner.
As with prior projects, the closet designs are styled after the architecture and to blend with the overall interior design of the home and bedrooms. Featured is the evolution of the closet to a dressing room with a large sitting area and island. In keeping with the economic concerns of the times the closets were built out of melamine with contrasting metallic accents. The materials were also selected for their environmentally friendly substrates.
- Owner Closet Factory Orlando, Jack Green had this to say about our involvement in the project:
“After touring the Orlando design home the new President of the Orlando Home Builders Association Marion McGrath, personally said to me, “your closets were absolutely beautiful!” That was truly an honor.”
