Flutes

Flutes are those vertical grooves closely running parallel to each other on the face of the panel.  Fluting is one of the most popular closet and cabinet embellishments offered by Closet Factory.  Offered in a several widths to accommodate design and style variations, the flute creates a dramatic decorative effect.

Fluting is often paired with rosettes at the top. This beautiful accent can be further defined with the addition of a plinth block at the base.  To further enhance the architectural effect, crown and base moulding is added to tie the dramatic lines into the top and bottom of your unit.

Where this style was once only favored in home offices and libraries it has become very fashionable to include flute and rosettes in walk in closets and wall bed systems as well.

Fluting can be crafted from several different wood species like maple, cherry or pine.  Then we can stain, paint or glaze to match or contrast your design’s material.  Fluting is also available in special order thermal foils that coordinate with our selection of melamine finishes.
