    You might know HPLs (High-Pressure Laminates) by their brand names like Formica or WilsonArt.  No matter what name you call them, they are designed for beauty and durability.

    HPLs are available in dozens, if not hundreds, of designs and colors and many of which are also available with different types of finishes such as high-gloss, matte, or textured.

    Although they are not indestructible, they are used in these heavy duty applications because they are durable and cost effective.

    Care

    High pressure laminates may be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent.  Solvents such as denatured alcohol can also be used.  Periodic application of a self-cleaning wax can help minimize staining.
